TekWay® High Performance ADA Domes In 'Natural' Colors

According to the Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG), the color and contrast of detectable warning materials must adhere to the following rule:

705.1.3 Contrast.  Detectable Warning Surfaces shall contrast visually with adjacent walking surfaces either light-on-dark, or dark-on-light.

In addition, the Access Board’s study 2007 Color and Contrast of Detectable Warnings Technical Brief – gave the following recommendation of which dome-color to use in a standard sidewalk and / or light-colored concrete environment:

·         …. a dark brick red color (terracotta) may be a good choice where adjacent walking surfaces are light.
