TekWay® High Performance ADA Domes are primarily designed to be installed in all pertinent locations as specified for pedestrian traffic, as per the ADA/ADAAG.
TekWay® High Performance ADA Domes may also be specified in any locations where there is potential for vehicle traffic. In such locations, these ADA Dome tiles are subjected to extreme vertical loads as well as the lateral shearing pressures created by vehicles tires being rotated while in motion or in a static mode. A 'void-free' installation will ensure Vehicular Traffic will not damage the tiles.
This necessary condition of a ‘void-free’ install can be easily achieved by using the TekWay® “Wet-set” Installation method for ADA domes into fresh concrete which includes the application of mortar to the back of the tiles to create the base of a ‘monolithic structure’ between the tile and the concrete-substrate. In addition, the pertaining anchors will be encapsulated by the fresh concrete and secure the bond of the tiles with its substrate as the concrete cures.
Further, please note that StrongGo® always offers dedicated technical support. Therefore, please feel free to take advantage of our knowledge and experience from thousands of installations (in all climates) to streamline your future projects.
We look forward to working with you on the best possible design for a truly maintenance free installation of TekWay® High Performance ADA Domes, always in full and lasting compliance with current federal and state ADA regulations.
